Ripple Effect Encounter Team *
Ripple Effect Encounter Team *
This Encounter Team emphasizes listening, learning, and humility—equipping students to engage with diverse communities respectfully and effectively.
CSM provides immersive, city-based mission experiences that combine service and learning to help students understand the complexities of urban poverty, justice, and compassion through a biblical lens.
As a part of this team, you will…
Interact with local ministries and nonprofits doing transformative work in DC
Participate in guided reflections, devotionals, and debriefs to help you process this experience spiritually and personally
Serve alongside long-term community partners, ensuring their efforts are meaningful and sustainable
Discuss how to integrate your experiences from the team into your everyday ordinary lives upon returning home
This Encounter Team will help you develop a curiosity for all people and their stories, it will position you beside people whose lives are different than your own, and it will challenge you to love the person in front of you, whomever they may be.
