Serve Team Culture Coordinator

Overview:

The Serve Team Culture Coordinator is responsible for helping develop and maintain a relational serving culture for the Gatherings Team. They will be responsible for helping establish a culture of inviting people into serving at Port City by seeing people, inspiring people, and discerning who would be a great fit to serve on one of the Gatherings serve teams. Being present and relational at gatherings, identifying leaders in the PC3 congregation, and having courage and willingness to invite those leaders into being a part of PC3 through serving will be the primary focus of this role. Throughout the week, they will also help with some of the connect responsibilities such as following up with people that have attended PC101 or filled out Connect Cards.

Position Specifications:

  • Must be a believer of Jesus Christ and an active participant of Port City Community Church.    

  • Must be a team-oriented person with the ability to design, implement and mature objectives of the Worship Service Programming Team.  

  • Must excel in ministry commitment, conduct and professionalism. 

  • Must be action and goal oriented. 

  • Must be highly relational and gifted at calling people into ministry.

  • A heart for the vision of PC3 and a gifting for galvanizing and inspiring people to want to be a part of PC3 through serving is essential.

  • Must demonstrate a value of and naturally participate in personal evangelism.  

  • Must be highly ethical and able to process sensitive information confidentially. 

  • Must demonstrate an acceptable balance of confidence and humility, and must be willing to proactively address issues in accordance with scripture and in alignment with the Port City Community Church statement of faith.   

  • Must be available to work on Sundays and have flexibility in weekly schedule, as some nights may be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gathering Focus

    • Attend Sundays, OVF, and Student Ministry Gatherings on a regular basis in order to connect with those who attend gatherings (the regularity to be established based on schedule and needs).

    • Identify leaders at PC3 who are currently not serving on a Gatherings Serve Team and invite them to contribute to the life of PC3 through joining a Serve Team.

    • Develop a culture of relationally calling people into serving by learning, exemplifying, and training others to embody this culture.

    • Help people walk through the Serve Team onboarding process and ensure they are fully connected.

    • Actively pursue and maintain relationships with those who serve on a Gatherings Serve Team.

    • Work with the Gatherings Team Staff responsible for a Serve Team to help create growth opportunities for Serve Team members.

  • Connect Responsibilities

    • Attend each Port City 101 as a representative of the Gathering Teams and to connect with those who attend PC101

    • Following up with people that have filled out a Connect Card or have attended Port City 101 to help them become vitally connected in our church.

    • Maintain updated records to track people through the connect process.

    • Other duties as assigned.

  • Gatherings Team Responsibilities

    • Participate and invest in the Gatherings Team Staff culture and Serve Team culture.

    • Participate, help lead, and invest in Gatherings Team Interns.

    • Other duties as assigned.

  • General Staff Duties

    • Attend Gatherings Team Staff meetings

    • Attend monthly All Staff meetings

    • Attend monthly Wilmington Staff meetings

General Work Schedule:

Full time (40 hours, excluding lunch)

  • Sunday 7:30am-1:00pm (5.5)

  • Monday: 9:00am-5:00pm (8)

  • Tuesday: 10:00am-9:30pm (11.5)

  • Wednesday: 10:00am-8:30pm (10.5)

  • Thursday 9:30am-5:00pm (7.5)

    Holidays: All Port City Staff are required to work on Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday, regardless of role or regular work schedule. 

    Note: All full time jobs are to be scheduled at 40 hours unless otherwise noted in the job description. Part time hours are to be scheduled to the amount of hours that have been budgeted for the position.
