Brock

The first thing to know about Brock is that he loves living on a farm with his family. His favorite things to do are all outdoors! Brock loves to help train the family's many dogs along with new puppies, and to go hunting with his dad together with a couple of the dogs they've trained!

At school, his favorite subject is math, and he's very proud of the fact that he's a great mathematician! When he gets older, he said he wants to continue working with dogs and other animals, hunting, farming vegetables and working on the land! He hopes to own a big property of his own someday.

When asked about CIS and working with his CIS Student Support Specialist, Ms. Jennifer Anderson, Brock said he really loves the life skills group started a month ago, and also likes when Ms. Anderson helps him figure out how to solve an issue with a classmate. He describes Ms. Anderson as "funny" and "nice."

"I chose Brock because he's delightful to be around, has a big imagination and loves to tell stories, and he gets so excited and proud of himself when he works hard in class. It's been SO rewarding to watch our work together on reading pay off! He continues to show a lot of growth and recently, his fluency has taken a jump! He is motivated to achieve and does a great job remembering all the tips and strategies for decoding words. He also loves to help, and is never afraid to try something new. Brock is one of the reasons I love my job,' said CIS Student Support Specialist Ms. Anderson.
