Amorie

Amorie enjoys cooking in his free time and has always had a passion for science, two interests that are helping shape some exciting goals.

After graduation, Amorie plans to attend Fayetteville State University to pursue a degree in biochemistry. From there, he hopes to continue his education at Hattori Nutrition College in Japan to study culinary arts, with the dream of one day becoming a chef and opening his own restaurant chain. 🍽️

When asked what he’ll remember most about his CIS staff, Amorie kept it simple.

“Ms. Shaughnessy is really good at math,” said Amorie. “Ms. Shaughnessy has helped me pass Math 4.”

One of Amorie’s favorite CIS memories was getting to attend the circus as a child through the program, and he says he’s especially proud of his accomplishments in weightlifting throughout high school, including benching an impressive 225 pounds! 💪

“Amorie has the ability to brighten every person's day when he walks into a room. He is hilarious and always shows care to those around him. Amorie is a talented musician and a dedicated student. His presence will certainly be missed in Afterschool. I am so proud of Amorie’s accomplishments, and I know that he will make a wonderful chef and restaurant owner in the future,” said CIS staff member Ms. Abigale Shaughnessy.

We can’t wait to see all the places Amorie’s many talents take him next! Congratulations! 🎓
