Isabella
She enjoys seeing her friends, going to the beach, spending time with family, like going outside with her little brother.
She says today’s graduation is something she’s proud to have accomplished.
“Actually, making it through high school and knowing what I want to do with my future. My freshmen year I had no idea what I was going to do for the future, and I was making choices that were not beneficial for me but for another person, so I'm glad to say I can now focus on myself and figure my life out for me,” said Isabella.
Isabella says her favorite CIS activity was going to CFCC events and learning all about the different programs and classes she could take.
“They helped me with college information, high school information, getting me back on the right track if I end up falling off,” said Isabella of her time with her CIS Student Support Specialists. “They helped me face challenges, how to cope with stress and figure out my college stuff. They also played a part in making my high school experience so easy with any question I have and trying to reach out to different people I couldn't.”
Izzy has been accepted to both CFCC and ECU (where she received the Next NC Scholarship). She plans on attending CFCC for the first two years and transferring to ECU to continue her education in social work, eventually helping people in the addiction field.
“I have only worked with Izzy this year, but I knew of her from her previous Student Support Specialist, Mrs. Jabaley. Izzy has battled through many obstacles in high school and I'm very proud of her for pushing through and believing in herself. She has a bright future ahead and she will touch a lot of lives,” said CIS Student Support Specialist Kyle Devlin.
Izzy, we’re SO PROUD OF YOU! We cant wait to watch you make your mark on the world! 🌎✨
